Essential oils have been around for thousands of years, with a huge range of benefits and now creating a truly holistic treatment. The Egyptians used plant essences and resins for preserving their dead. The Greeks went on to discover that certain oils were either stimulating or relaxing and that many could be used for medicinal purposes. Essential oils were also used during World War l and ll to treat soldiers in military hospitals.
