Entry requirements
This course is available to students with no previous massage experience or qualification who are interested in qualifying in and practicing Sports Massage.
Students wishing to work specifically with injuries should aim to follow this course with Level 4 qualifications.

Students should possess a good understanding of written and spoken English.

Before booking this course online, please ring the school for an informal interview or arrange to meet the tutor for a discussion on suitability for the course.

Anatomy and physiology is included in the price of this course. If a student already has an anatomy and physiology qualification, this must be in-line with iTEC’s framework and be less than 2 years old. The price of the A&P (£195.00) will be deducted from the balance, once the student’s certificate has been verified.

VTCT Sports Massage Course Level 3

This course is available to the complete beginner, or existing therapists wishing to expand their techniques and broaden their knowledge.

The Sports Massage Level 3 course is ideal for students wanting more than just the full body qualification to be able to work deeper and in a more focused way with their clients. Or for students wanting to come straight into the sports massage industry.

We offer you the choice of studying just the level 3 Sports Massage course with the opportunity to further your studies with Level 4 Sports Massage.

Time will be spent covering advanced palpation skills to allow the student to fully understand soft tissue dysfunctions. The course will cover a number of sports massage techniques including:

    • Pre and Post sports massage treatments
      Maintenance massage techniques

The course also covers basics of nutrition,soft tissue dysfunction, principles of health and fitness, professional conduct, patient care, client assessment, hygiene and health and safety.

Sports Massage Level 3 will enable students to work professionally as a massage therapist and to join the Sports Massage Association with a Level 3 membership.
